What happens after I place an order inquiry?

1. Initial Response: Once we receive your inquiry, Emily (owner of Lucky Lemon 🍋) or a team member will follow up—typically via text message, which is why it’s helpful to include your cell phone number when you inquire. We’ll confirm details and ask any clarifying questions.

2. Porch Drop-Off or Delivery: If you’re local to Dallas, you can either porch drop off your items or ship/deliver them directly to us. We can also come pick up from you for an additional service fee. Our drop-off location is near SMU (exact address provided once we begin correspondence).

When dropping off, please:

• Place your items in a bag or box labeled with your name

• Send a text to confirm drop-off so we can bring the items inside promptly

3. Design Process Begins: After receiving your items, we’ll reach out via text to begin the design process. Together, we’ll select:

• Font style(s) for monogram and/ or name

• Thread color(s)

• Motif design (if applicable)

• Preferred placement: We’ll print a proof and place it on your item and include the chosen thread colors in the photo we send you for color, size and placement visualization.

4. Invoice & Approval: Once the design is finalized and approved, we’ll send you a detailed invoice for review and approval. After you give us the green light, we begin the embroidery process with care and love 💛🍋

How soon will my order ready?

Each order is unique and the amount of time it takes will depend. I will let you know what to expect through order correspondence. You are welcome to email me for a more specific estimate according to your project. This is also a question we ask in the beginning to make sure we make a note of deadlines before accepting an order.

 

Do I order items from you to be embroidered, or do I need to provide my own item?

At Lucky Lemon Embroidery, we’re proud to offer both options!

What sets us apart from many embroidery businesses is that we gladly embroider items you provide—whether it’s a brand-new purchase or a meaningful heirloom. We’ve stitched everything from baptism gowns passed down through generations to personalized gifts brought in by clients.

Inventory: We also carry a curated inventory of high-quality items available for embroidery.

In our inventory room, you’ll find:

• A wide variety of hat styles (toddler, youth, and adult sizes)—from high-end Imperial rope hats to classic trucker styles

• Baby shower gifts and items perfect for welcoming a little one

• Birthday and graduation gift items for youth, college students, and adults, including school spirit items, such as clear bags for games, fanny packs and canvas tote bags

• Elegant home goods including but not limited to tea towels, dinner napkins, cocktail napkins, wine bags, tissue box covers, wreath sashes and bows (for the hair as well as the door)—always ready for personalization

What fonts are commonly used in custom embroidery and are more font styles available than the ones offered on your website?

We offer over 100 font and monogram styles and will happily purchase any you like. Our fonts range from classic monograms to trendy scripts. Whether you're after block lettering or a whimsical cursive, we have a font to match your style.

Are different thread colors available than what I see online and how do I go about choosing my thread colors?

We offer a wide range of thread colors to make your personalized item just right! On our website, you’ll find a selection of basic thread color options, but that’s just the beginning. At Lucky Lemon Embroidery, we have an over-abundance of additional thread colors available beyond what’s shown online. Whether you’re going for bold and bright, soft and subtle, or school-specific shades—we’ve got you covered. The thread color selection is included in our design process described up above.

 

Looking to match a very specific shade? We can help with that too!

• Need to match a Pantone color or brand standard? Just let us know

What type of thread do you use?

We primarily use high-quality polyester embroidery thread—and for good reason!

Polyester thread is the gold standard for professional embroidery, and here’s why we love it:

🎄 Metallic Threads: Available in festive golds, silvers, and jewel tones, metallic threads add sparkle and shine—perfect for holiday gifts, monograms, and special occasions.

(Please note: Metallic thread is priced at a higher rate due to its premium cost and slower stitching speed and need for a different version needle.)

🌈 Variegated Threads: Want something truly unique? Try variegated threads, which feature multiple colors that gradually shift and blend throughout the spool. This creates a dynamic, multicolor effect within a single design—great for adding texture and creativity to names, motifs, and monograms.

 

Does Lucky Lemon Embroidery accept high-volume embroidery services?

We are proud to now offer large-scale embroidery services thanks to our investment in two multi-needle machines. This upgrade allows us to efficiently handle bulk orders for schools, teams, businesses, and special events- without compromising the quality and detail we're known for. We have the equipment, experience, and team to deliver exceptional results on time.

Are other motif or monogram options available for the online seasonal items?
